Show-off is more expensive than money: a quick review of Monster Inspiration headphones
It would seem that not so long ago, the excitement around the headphones of the Monster Beats conglomerate exceeded all reasonable limits. Their number (as well as the number of fakes) among the population simply went off scale. But, alas, nothing lasts forever. This union broke up, and Monster has to release new models, in fact, competing with their own products. Among the new headphones of the company and the hero of the review Monster Inspiration, made as a replacement for the popular Beats Studio. But can they reach a higher level and offer something more than just beautiful design and an incredible level of pathos?
The configuration of these Monsters, sorry for the tautology, is simply monstrous. What is not in this huge, comparable in size to a shoe box – from https://trade-x.com.ng/page-weekend-gambling-addiction-trackmania-and-elastomania a large amount of waste paper to a cloth for wiping the headphones. There is also a case, an additional overlay for the headband (they are replaceable) and an adapter for 6, 3mm jack.
As many as 3 audio cables are of particular interest: a regular one with a remote control for Apple technology and another one with a remote control for all other mobile devices. As it turned out, the whole company is not in vain called Monster Cable – the quality of these same cables is excellent.
Design and materials
The earbuds themselves look and feel great on the head thanks to the quality of both materials and workmanship. The headband, as well as the ear pads, are made of leather, so everything is very comfortable and there is no fatigue even after several hours of listening to music. Polished aluminum inserts are also good, thanks to which the headphones are almost pleasant to take in hand. Why "almost"? But because next to them there is a very easily soiled (that’s what a rag came in handy for!) Glossy plastic.
Similar to Beats Studio, Inspiration has Active Noise Cancellation, which requires two AAA batteries, which are installed under the ear cup of the right speaker. It works, unfortunately, it is not as good as the headphones themselves look. For example, when traveling on the subway, only noise in the medium frequency range is effectively suppressed. In a quiet room, the noise reduction system suppresses noise in the low frequency range, but adds it in the high frequency range. Given all this, it’s good that this system can be turned off, the headphones can work without it.
And now about the most important thing, namely the sound. Congratulations to Monster, because Inspiration sound much better than their predecessors and Studio competitors at the same time. The detail and depth of sound is good. At the same time, the nature of Inspiration is very close to Studio: they have a strong emphasis on low frequencies, due to which the sound is strongly colored and is best suited only for certain types of music. It is easy to guess that these primarily include electronic music (drum and bass, techno, IDM, progressive house) and hip-hop, but the surprise was vocal jazz, which also sounds very good. With the rest of the genres, everything is pretty bad: in any subgenre of rock, basses clog everything else, the same thing happens with classical music (with the exception of perhaps violin concertos).
