The Xiaomi Redmi line is popular and sells in https://fr.opay.com.ng/page-ford-va-investir-20-milliards-de-dollars-dans-les-vehicules-electriques huge quantities due to its low cost with good performance, which is enough for the average user. Last December, the company introduced a new lineup that includes Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, which are still inexpensive, metal, with Snapdragon processors, but now with a fashionable 18:9 elongated screen. The most budgetary modification of Xiaomi Redmi 5 fell into our hands, let’s see what it is capable of.
What is this?
Xiaomi Redmi 5 is a metal back smartphone, 5.7-inch HD IPS display, 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, 12 megapixel main camera, support for two SIM cards and a fingerprint scanner.
The smartphone comes in a bright orange box without unnecessary printing. Only the model name and a sticker on the side with information about the version of the smartphone (in our case, this is Global Version). In addition to the standard set of a smartphone, charger, cable, paper clip to remove the tray and instructions, there was also a simple protective bumper in the box:
What does it look like and how is it assembled?
Traditionally for models of the line of recent years, the smartphone is made of metal and glass. The main changes touched the front panel: a fashionable elongated screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and rounded corners is now used. But now the navigation buttons have moved to the screen itself (while they were previously placed separately on the chin). In fact, they "eat off" a piece of the screen, although they can be hidden either in certain applications, or always and called only when necessary. Above the screen is the front camera, notification indicator, earpiece and sensors:
The case is made of metal and plastic. The metal in this case is on the back of the case, yet the ends are made of plastic. The layout is standard: the power and volume buttons are on the right side, at the bottom there are symmetrical holes, under which there is a speaker and a microphone, at the top there is another microphone, a headphone jack and an IR emitter for controlling electronics.
